What you can expect
As a Financial Advisor, you will play a cross-functional advisory role within the organization, focusing on financial activities while adhering to laws, regulations, policies, and norms. You will contribute to ensuring sound financial management and work towards its optimization. You will offer your expertise in planning, analyzing, implementing, coordinating, and controlling financial procedures and processes, making recommendations to management in line with the requested guidelines.
More specifically, you will join the accounting, financing, and budget control team.

Main responsibilities
- Provide advisory services to the city's departments on financial matters and ensure compliance with various regulations, policies, procedures, norms, and laws.
- Act as a resource person and support administrative units in planning their financial needs and choosing financial strategies. Provide advisory services at every stage of the budget management process.
- Act as a resource person in analyzing financial information, advise and guide decisions while respecting the rules.
- Coordinate and oversee the functional work of technical staff and make recommendations to your supervisor to optimize financial processes, taking into account legal obligations, internal controls, customer needs, and opportunities, with a continuous improvement mindset, adopting the approach recommended by the organization.
- Prepare reports on budgets, finances, and taxation (including payroll, social benefits, and pension schemes) and their processing, analyze them, and write summaries or recommendations.
- Monitor changes in norms and laws in your field of activity and make recommendations to promote best practices.
- Desired profile*
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, majoring in accounting or finance, and membership in the Order of CPAs
- 4 years of relevant experience in the role
- Experience in accounting transactions, financial reporting, and annual budget preparation, audit file preparation, reconciling accounts, and financial projections analysis
- Ability to provide advisory services during changes in accounting norms
- Collaborative spirit and teamwork
- Rigor, quality orientation, and respect for established rules and processes
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
