Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Territory Manager is responsible for optimizing the quality of service and the efficiency of productivity in field activities, including several special projects for our clients in the hardware, pharmacy, grocery, and other retail sectors.
Territory: Quebec Province.
You will have a gas card for professional travel according to our travel reimbursement policy.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage the staff under your supervision, including merchandisers and field merchandisers;
- Ensure good communication between branch managers (clients), employees, and the head office of RDTS;
- Plan, organize, and manage schedules and routes/territories to maximize operational efficiency;
- Distribute tasks according to priorities and deadlines;
- Control the quality of service and task execution; for example, by conducting store tours;
- Welcome and train employees under your supervision and ensure mastery of the acquired skills (integration and training);
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring of employees;
- Resolve issues and non-conformities in collaboration with employees;
- Ensure compliance with customer service standards and work methods by employees;
- Review reports submitted by employees, track progress, and complete the current mandate follow-up report;
- Ensure achievement of established objectives, maintain good communication, team spirit, and motivate employees;
- Evaluate employee performance, establish individual objectives, and track achievement of objectives;
- Apply labor laws in collaboration with Human Resources to take action when necessary;
- Perform any other related tasks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising and supervising employees;
- Intermediate level of French and English, both written and spoken, in a work context with anglophones (other Canadian provinces);
- Good knowledge of Microsoft software suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
- Possess a vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver's license and be able to make travel arrangements as part of the job;
- Be comfortable traveling throughout Quebec (hotels, per diem for meals and travel, according to our travel reimbursement policy).
