Paper / Cardboard Cutter Operator

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Ensure the completion of projects
• Perform startup and maintenance
• Read and understand the nature and importance of the data contained in the production folder carefully in order to follow the client's recommendations and specifications in order to produce quality work.
• Ensure that you know the different imposition (thumble, sheet wise, work and turn, etc.) in order to know the work cutting marks and be able to determine the dimension and sequence of the paper or cardboard cuts taking into account the imposition, the location of the clamps and the lateral stop of the press and the subsequent production steps.
• Adjust the equipment to make the cuts and folds to the requested formats according to the properties of the different categories of paper and cardboard in order to understand how these properties affect the cutting and folding work and use those that are appropriate for quality and careful work
• Take the paper, let air penetrate it so that it is easier to handle before hitting and cutting it.
• Repalletize the result of the cut according to the needs of the next steps.
• Have good communication with the other departments to carry out quality work in all respects.
• Recognize, analyze and correct the main problems that may arise during the cutting and folding of paper or cardboard.
• Apply the manufacturer's recommendations and those of the company regarding the regular and preventive maintenance of the different parts of the equipment.
• Carry out the project in compliance with health and safety at work rules
• Any other tasks at the request of the immediate superior

• Ability to read and write
• Functional French and English
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an operator in printing with a cutting machine
• Know the properties and recognize the different categories of paper in order to understand how these properties affect the work
• Very good knowledge in mechanics
• Understand the nature and importance of the data contained in the production folder in order to translate them into a work plan.
