Generalist, Human Resources - Specialized Companies

The specialized companies of Gordon Food Service are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to assist their energetic team in Chambly.

Position: Full-time, permanent

• Work schedule:
• Monday to
• Friday 8:30
• AM - 5:00 PM (rotating hours)

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing disability files, employee relations, training, legal compliance, and well-being initiatives within a food distribution company. They promote a balanced work environment and collaborate closely with operational teams.

Responsibilities of the position

• Provide advisory role to managers in their daily activities

Plan, develop, and follow up on training and integration sessions for operational employees

Answer staff questions

Participate in various HR activities such as performance management, health and safety at work, compensation, disability files, corporate events, etc.

Provide support in resolving problems and applying human relations management policies and procedures, including interpreting the collective agreement and various labor laws

Participate and support as needed in the hiring process

Perform other tasks related to the position

Selection criteria:

Hold a bachelor's degree in industrial relations/human resources or a related field

Have 3+ years of experience in human resources in a generalist position

Be familiar with various laws such as: LNT, LSST, LATMP

Be bilingual in written and spoken French/English, Spanish is an asset

Be motivated to coach and influence experienced managers

Stand out with your organizational and priority management skills

Enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment

Demonstrate empathy, autonomy, and flexibility in work methods
