  • Salary Scale:

The complete salary range for this position is between $113,300 - $188,800 per year, and the estimated starting salary for this position at hire is between $140,000 and $160,000 per year/hour. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as, among others, professional experience and leadership, training, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location.

This position is responsible for ensuring the success of EDFse's third-party clients by establishing durable and high-quality relationships with them, providing added value, ensuring optimal contract execution, resolving issues, and managing the profit and loss account. Ultimately, this position manages daily client relationships and advocates for their interests; you will be the engine that ensures we fulfill our commitments to them and earn the trust needed to secure future service contracts. This position will also work with leadership to define the overall regional strategy and play a central role in our ability to implement this strategy.

Responsibilities

  • 25% - Assume final responsibility for the client relationship and profit and loss account at the project or portfolio level, through direct interaction with clients and supervision of other account managers.
  • 20% - Increase portfolio revenue (managed directly and through other colleagues) through new product and service offerings, and manage costs by balancing profitability and long-term client success.
  • 20% - For high-level commercial and technical issues, identify and coordinate the appropriate internal resources (HSE, QC, technical services, accounting, etc.) to ensure rapid problem resolution. Report any resource obstacles or issues as necessary to ensure client success.
  • 10% - Oversee contractual obligations after the agreement is signed and throughout the duration of the commercial agreement; ensure high-level contract management and administration in collaboration with operations managers and EDF RS's legal department.
  • 5% - Lead the client contract renewal process (commercial negotiations, contract award, internal validations, etc.) and ensure all renewals are obtained.
  • 5% - Ensure complete commercial and operational reports are established in a timely manner, both at EDFR's internal level and at the client level.
  • 5% - Promote a positive image in the renewable energy sector through enlightened leadership activities and demand generation (conferences, webinars, article writing, participation in professional trade shows, etc.).
  • 5% - Stay informed about the company's vision, mission, values, and services, as well as the competitive landscape, and be able to effectively present the company's capabilities and service offerings to the team and clients.
  • 5% - Other assigned tasks.

Supervision of staff: Direct supervision of key client managers; mentoring role for team members, providing daily advice and support. Coordinate and direct staff activities.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or business-related field (finance, accounting, engineering, physics, mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in client relationship management at all levels of the organization; experience in asset management or client management would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in the renewable energy sector (wind, solar) would be an asset.

  • Ability to take ownership of client issues and escalations and work collaboratively with multiple teams to provide the best possible service to the client, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Quick thinking, responsiveness, eloquence, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to adapt to different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate innovation, analytical thinking, and proactivity to resolve client issues and propose solutions through incentive and cross-selling activities.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to prepare and deliver formal presentations to large groups, both online and in person.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to build rapport with clients at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Attention to detail and project management skills to ensure contract compliance.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and influence skills, including the ability to clearly define client expectations.
  • Ability to negotiate, draft, and interpret service contracts.
  • Considered a team player who also possesses the independence of thought and opinion necessary to demonstrate candor and honesty in key commercial decisions.
  • Willingness to adopt and defend a culture of respect, communication, and accountability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about commercial results, with a keen sense of responsibility, performance indicators, and task ownership.
  • Experience with CRM programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other Office products, and Adobe software.

Work Conditions

  • 75% of the time is spent in the office, using computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software and programs), phones, and standard office equipment.
  • 25% of the time is spent outside the office, visiting other EDFse sites, clients, organizational partners, as well as attending industry conferences and trade shows.
