The auxiliary nurse participates in the provision of a set of nursing and well-being care for residents, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The responsibilities and requirements below are inspired by an Avature display model used within the CIUSSS.

As an auxiliary nurse, you will be called upon to

• Contribute to the assessment of the health status of residents and the implementation of the care plan;
• Provide nursing and well-being care in accordance with your scope of practice;
• Administer prescribed medical and nursing treatments;
• Observe, monitor, and report any changes in the health status of residents;
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and safe approach to care;
• Participate in teaching and supporting residents and their families;
• Promote a person-centered, respectful, dignified, and autonomous approach to care.
