Summary of the role and responsibilities

• Nurses at this unit make a difference in the lives of their patients.
• They assume the responsibility and leadership to holistically assess the health needs of individuals in order to provide patient-centered care and support for their families.
• They provide and coordinate care to patients in a stimulating environment within the interdisciplinary team.
• Nurses also provide leadership in risk prevention, care quality, and the safety aspect of their practice.
• They also orient new staff and participate in the training of students.
