The auxiliary nurse participates in the provision of a set of nursing and well-being care services for residents, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The responsibilities and requirements below are inspired by an Avature display model used within the CIUSSS.

As an auxiliary nurse, you will be called upon to

• Contribute to the assessment of the residents' health status and the implementation of the care plan;
• Provide nursing and well-being care in accordance with your scope of practice;
• Administer prescribed medical and nursing treatments;
• Observe, monitor, and report any changes in the residents' health status;
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and safe approach to care;
• Participate in the education and support of residents and their families;
• Promote a person-centered, respectful, dignified, and autonomous approach to care.
