Description

In addition to a doctorate in psychology, do you hold a certification for the evaluation of neuropsychological disorders? We are looking for psychologists who have a great sense of listening, observation, and for whom the therapeutic relationship is central to practice. Do you embody empathy, kindness, and patience? The Neuropsychologist

• Collects the necessary information for opening the file,
• Conducts psychological evaluations of users using appropriate techniques and writes the necessary reports,
• Recommends the general orientation of the treatment plan adapted to the client's needs,
• Acts as a pivot intervenant and coordinates interdisciplinary plans under their responsibility,
• Applies individual or group therapies according to the situation and evaluates their results,
• Intervenes promptly and directly in crisis situations,
• Advises intervenants on the conception and implementation of intervention plans,
• Uses means that favor the continuity and complementarity of psychosocial interventions between the multidisciplinary team's intervenants and the establishment's teams,
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings when required,
• Participates in the training of intervenants and interns of the establishment,
• Participates in the evaluation and selection of certain specific resources.

The neuropsychologist evaluates neuropsychological disorders by making a clinical judgment on the nature of clinically significant conditions characterized by neurobehavioral changes of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral nature, linked to dysfunction of higher mental functions due to damage to the central nervous system, and communicates the results. The person performs their functions within a multidisciplinary team, working closely and complementarily with other team members. They follow up with the second-line client base individually or in groups as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a doctorate in psychology,
• Have a specialization in neuropsychology,
• Be a member of the Professional Order of Psychologists of Quebec.
