Main Responsibilities

The garage foreman is responsible for the daily coordination of workshop activities to ensure effective and quality service.

Specifically, you will need to:

• Supervise and coordinate the work done by the garage mechanics.
• Plan upcoming work in collaboration with the service department.
• Organize the entry and exit of vehicles into work bays.
• Safely move and park trucks and trailers in the garage and the back yard.
• Ensure deadlines and repair times are met.
• Efficiently distribute work according to priorities and mechanics' skills.
• Control the quality of repairs before handing vehicles back to customers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
• Provide technical support to mechanics when needed.
• Foster good communication between the garage, service department, and other team members.

Required Criteria

• Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license (mandatory).
• Experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Experience in supervision or team management (a valuable asset).
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Leadership, autonomy, and sense of responsibility.
• Good ability to manage priorities and unexpected events.
• Concern for work quality and customer service.
