The team is responsible for the application architecture of IT solutions. We are looking for a versatile application solutions architect to work on business and IT evolution projects. As an application solutions architect, you will play a key role in defining, designing, and evolving the technological solutions of the sector. You will need to respond to business needs, align solutions with existing architecture and target orientations, and produce the required architecture deliverables. You will collaborate closely with business domain stakeholders, managers, as well as project squad and team members.

Main Responsibilities

• Identify and document the functional capabilities needed to meet expressed business needs.
• Determine the applications and services involved in the solutions and evaluate their impacts (cohabitation, dependencies, performance, security).
• Develop IT orientations supporting the selected solutions.
• Produce solution architecture documents, including coverage of non-functional requirements.
• Describe and popularize solutions using architectural diagrams and models (ideally in Archimate).
• Support teams in the detailed design and integration of solutions.
• Develop transition, cohabitation, conversion, and offloading strategies.
• Communicate effectively with different types of audiences: business, functional, managers, scrum master, delivery manager.
• Ensure that solutions comply with company standards, standards, and orientations.
• Knowledge of modern architectures: microservices, events, API-first, continuous integration.
• Functional and technical understanding of application components (services, APIs, modules, dependencies).
• Ability to challenge or support design decisions (patterns, anti-patterns, design impacts).
• Understanding of software quality concerns: testability, observability, performance, coupling, application security.
• Define and enforce best practices for the development of the Guidewire cloud solution.
• Mentor developers and serve as a reference for what concerns the Guidewire suite.
• Act as a resource person.

Desired Profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 8 years and more of experience in an application solutions architect role or related role.
• 5 years and more of experience with the Guidewire suite (mandatory).
• Significant experience as an application solutions architect in projects.
• Excellent ability to manage priorities, plan work, and adapt to a matrix context.
• Very good communication skills (oral, written, popularization).
• Proficiency in French (oral and written).
• Intermediate-advanced level in English.
• Ability to quickly escalate critical issues when required.
• Proficiency in one or more architecture frameworks and Archimate notation.
• Experience in inter-application integration (API, Web Services, event-driven architecture).
• Mastery of concepts and methods for deploying application solutions on on-premises and cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and CaaS).
• Experience with the microservices approach.
• Proficiency in the Guidewire suite: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter.
• Knowledge of Guidewire APIs.
• Knowledge of Guidewire APD (advance product designer) is a plus.
• Proficiency in the Gosu language and configuration of product pages (PCF).
• Holding at least one or more Guidewire certifications (Associate / Specialist / ACE) is an important asset.
