ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of 3 electromechanics as well as planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
This is a role that is both strategic and hands-on. The person sought will need to mobilize their team, actively intervene in breakdowns or urgent situations, and implement practices that promote the reliability, availability, and performance of equipment.
They will also contribute to building maintenance, manage spare parts, and carry out various improvement and equipment installation projects.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise, mobilize, and mentor a team of three electromechanics, while ensuring their training and skill development;
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in preventive and corrective maintenance work on production equipment;
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures, including urgent interventions on the floor;
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of equipment, analyze recurring failures, and implement sustainable solutions;
- Prioritize interventions according to production needs, track work progress, and document completed interventions;
- Manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment for the maintenance service, and recommend necessary purchases;
- Contribute to the development of production teams' autonomy in relation to first-level interventions;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards;
- Maintain general building maintenance and coordinate interventions from external suppliers;
- Participate in equipment acquisition, installation, and improvement projects as well as projects related to the launch of new products;
- Cover for electromechanics during absences or vacations;
- Support operations teams in any other related tasks.
PROFILE REQUIRED
- DEC or DEP in electromechanics, industrial mechanics, or a related field;
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering;
- License C: Electricity competency certificate, an asset;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance supervision;
- Minimum 4 years of experience in team supervision or management;
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food industry;
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems;
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and make quick decisions;
- Excellent organizational skills, autonomy, and rigor;
- Motivational leadership and strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and solution-oriented approach;
- Knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, as well as health and safety at work requirements, considered an asset;
- Good command of French, both spoken and written;
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, an asset.
