(CAN) Bakery and Deli Associate

Position Summary...

A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What you'll do...

1. Zone the deli section to ensure that trays, tables, and product bins are organized and that products are in the correct location.

2. Rotate stocks and check that products are not expired.

3. Ensure the accuracy of product price displays and labeling.

4. Comply with food safety standards, including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and use-by dates.

5. Take orders for deli products, prepare hot dishes, and provide requested assistance.

6. Prepare deli orders using utensils; prepare chicken using a roasting oven; roast chicken in a roaster; and assemble side dishes for display.

7. Prepare bakery products by following decongelation and cooking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appeal of bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.

8. Follow appropriate procedures for ordering, liquidation, markdown, display, marking, pricing, and labeling.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $19.05.
