JOB DUTIES

• Perform work to control invasive exotic plant species (EVEE) such as buckthorn and phragmites, in various natural environments, particularly in wooded areas;
• Manually uproot or with the help of equipment the plants, including their root system;
• Cut, tarp, encapsulate the EVEE and manage the waste;
• Transport and deposit the uprooted plants in piles;
• Load, unload, transport the tools and work materials to the site;
• Perform any other tasks related to the request of your immediate supervisor.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Ability to perform physical work (lifting weights, working in a crouched position, standing for long periods, performing repetitive gestures, etc.);
• Good physical endurance to work outdoors (in all weather conditions);
• Ability to work in a team;
• Possess knowledge of EVEE and flora (an asset);
• Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license and have access to a vehicle to make the required trips as part of your duties (required).

• Start date: September 1, 2026;
• Term duration: Contractual, until October 31, 2026;
• Work location: Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (100% fieldwork);
• Number of hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7 hours/day)
• Hourly rate: Starting at $20.74, depending on experience.
