Senior Android Developer

We are looking for dynamic consultants to grow our Information Systems and Digital team in Montreal. Your experience, knowledge, and commitment will help us to face our client's challenges.

You will be supporting different projects through your expertise as Senior Android Developer.

Your main responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin, delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance mobile solutions.
• Modernize existing applications by reducing technical debt, refactoring legacy code, and improving architecture, maintainability, and testability.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality mobile features that meet business objectives.
• Develop robust integrations with REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication services, secure storage, push notifications, and other Android platform capabilities.
• Write and maintain automated unit tests while contributing to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and continuous quality improvements.
• Mentor developers by promoting best practices in Android development, clean architecture, software craftsmanship, and Agile delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 5+ years of experience developing production-grade native Android applications using Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
• Strong expertise in modern Android architecture patterns, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, modular architecture, and repository/use case patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based UI, Jetpack libraries, REST/GraphQL integrations, asynchronous programming with Coroutines/Flow, persistence frameworks, and secure mobile development.
• Proven experience implementing automated testing using JUnit, MockK/Mockito, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tools within Agile development environments.
• Professional proficiency in English and French, with excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional and client-facing teams.
