We are looking for a Junior Test Engineer to join our Satellite Systems team at our Montreal office.

Role

The Junior Test Engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop state-of-the-art test stations to automate the production of geostationary antennas or constellations. You will be part of a specialized test team to ensure that the performance of the antennas, once in orbit, meets the customer's requirements and provides the required communication service as part of the mission.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Interface with the design team
• Analysis of test requirements
• Definition of test methods and techniques
• Definition of test means and data processing
• Writing of test plans, procedures, and reports
• Development of software applications and automatic test and measurement RF procedures
• Coding and validation of test sequences
• Tracking tests and supporting operations according to the required specialty:
• + RF in PIM, Nearfield or Compact Test Range
• + RF in Active Electronics, Burn-In
• + Power in Power Electronic Converter
• + Metrology in Flight Unit Alignment
• + Mechanical in Thermal Tests
• Planning and coordination of test activities and the technician team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• BSc. or equivalent in electrical engineering or physics.
• The candidate must have training in electrical engineering or physics with solid bases in electromagnetism or microwaves as well as good programming skills.
• 0-2 years of experience
• Motivated person with a sense of initiative, good team coordination skills, and a taste for improving test techniques.
• Good knowledge of French, both spoken and written.
• Comments/Special Considerations:

Selected candidates must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the reliability rating level and pass the security evaluation for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
