Foot Care Nurse

The Foot Care Nurse is responsible for the prevention and treatment of common foot and nail conditions. She provides safe, personalized, and high-quality care both in the clinic and at the patient's home. She promotes the prevention of complications, patient education, and the maintenance of foot mobility and health.

• Provide foot care nursing services in accordance with professional standards and best practices.
• Trim and file nails, treat thickened or ingrown nails (within the nurse's scope of practice).
• Remove calluses, corns, and other superficial lesions when indicated.
• Identify signs of complications requiring consultation or referral to another healthcare professional.
• Provide advice on foot hygiene, appropriate footwear, prevention of injuries, and home care.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential clinical records.
• Ensure the cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments in accordance with infection prevention and control protocols.
• Prepare the necessary equipment for home visits and ensure its safe transport.
• Perform patient home visits according to the established schedule.
• Salary: $30.00 to $50.00 per hour
