Your Responsibilities as a Grocery Manager

• Plan and coordinate department activities to achieve sales and profitability goals set by the director, while respecting the applicable collective agreement;
• Participate in the development of action plans;
• Place orders and make purchases for the department;
• Verify invoice compliance with delivery notes and ensure receipt of company returns and allocations with sales staff;
• Regularly analyze the tracking of goods reception procedures regarding internal security;
• Ensure the store is ready to receive customers in terms of merchandise quantity, product labeling, and perishable goods rotation;
• Ensure product labeling complies with store standards, chief office price list, and optical scanner prices, and that price cards comply with the circular;
• Manage product rotation based on expiration dates. Ensure the department's business readiness (quality, quantity, freshness, cleanliness);
• Plan, one week in advance, on a planogram, the product launch;
• Schedule employee work hours;
• Supervise the work of the night coordinator;
• Ensure compliance with company policies (receiving, security, etc.) and workplace health, safety, and sanitation standards;
• Oversee employee hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluation.

Requirements

• SEC V or equivalent;
• 5 years of experience as a grocery clerk, including 2 years as an assistant manager.
