Work Environment, Missions, and Activities
You will carry out your activities within the NuMeCan Institute, which brings together more than 100 researchers and non-researchers at two sites: the INRAE site in St Gilles and the Rennes-Villejean Health Campus. The Institute includes 3 research teams: EAT (Control of Eating Behaviors); EXPRES (Exogenous and endogenous stress, plasticity of responses, and pathologies); and METHER (Metals, pathologies, and vectorized therapies). The EAT team, which includes 6 INRAE scientists, 7 non-INRAE scientists, and 6 INRAE technical staff, is involved in the decoding of mechanisms controlling eating behavior and contributing to hyperphagia or food selection leading to obesity or metabolic syndrome.
You will join a research team specializing in the study of factors and mechanisms influencing eating behaviors and their links with nutrition, metabolism, and health. You will work within a collective of researchers, clinicians, and technical staff involved in human research projects.
The development of studies involving healthy volunteers or patients is increasingly prominent in the team's activities. To support this dynamic, the unit aims to strengthen its technical and regulatory expertise in human research.
This position will allow you to directly contribute to the realization of studies aimed at better understanding the determinants of eating behaviors and the mechanisms involved in different physiological or pathological situations. You will participate in the scientific and regulatory quality of projects while developing a variety of technical skills.
In this context, you will be responsible for the following activities: Clinical Research Studies Involving Human Participants
- Ensure the documentary follow-up of research projects.
- Participate in the management of data and regulatory documents.
- Contribute to the submission and follow-up of research projects.
- Ensure the documentary management of studies conducted within the unit.
- Data Collection and Management
- Conduct surveys using questionnaires with participants.
- Participate in measurements taken with volunteers and patients.
- Ensure data entry, quality control, and follow-up of collected data.
- Contribute to the follow-up of biological samples when necessary.
- Coordination and Support for Projects
- Collaborate with scientific, medical, and technical partner teams.
- Ensure the link with support structures for human research (CHU, CIC, CRNH, imaging platform, etc.).
- Participate in the dissemination of best practices and the organization of research activities.
Occasional travel is expected, mainly in the Rennes area, for field surveys and activities with participants.
Required Training and Competencies
You hold a degree in biology, health, nutrition, or life sciences.
Experience in data management, quality assurance, or clinical research would be an asset. Training (internal or external) will be considered after recruitment to complement individual expertise.
