Project Manager, Civil Engineering

EXP is looking for a senior civil engineer to join its dynamic and committed team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to multidisciplinary projects of significant scale across Quebec.

In this role as a Project Manager, you will work from one of our offices, based on your preference and location. You will leverage your expertise to lead the design and/or supervision of civil engineering projects (roads and highways), while ensuring rigorous management of quality, budgets, and schedules.

Additionally, through your professional relationships, you will contribute to business development, particularly with the Quebec Ministry of Transportation. To fulfill your duties effectively, you must be a dynamic and recognized figure in the transportation field, enjoy working in teams, and possess excellent social skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Actively participate in business development through your network and credibility in the field.
• Manage relationships with clients and partners, including the Quebec Ministry of Transportation.
• Prepare professional service proposals.
• Lead road transportation projects, from planning to implementation.
• Supervise technical teams and ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
• Manage budgets and resources allocated to each mandate.
• Ensure administrative project management and take responsibility for it (billing, collection, contract management, etc.).
• Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and estimates.
• Write technical and expertise reports.
• Serve as a technical reference.
• Supervise deliverables (reports, plans, estimates, scheduling).
• Estimate construction costs and track projects.
• Supervise construction site monitoring, if interested.
• Contribute to a stimulating work environment.
• Any other tasks related to the job.

Education and Experience Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in the consulting engineering field.
• Structured and specific knowledge in transportation projects.
• Knowledge of the BNQ, CCDG, and practices of the Ministry of Transportation.

Other Requirements

• Be a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec.
• Be passionate about the transportation field.
• Have a strategic mindset, capable of shining EXP to its partners and clients.
• Possess strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Be comfortable working in a network and managing work teams.
• Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a car for travel.

Job Characteristics

• Full-time permanent position (12 months/year).
• 37.5 hours per week, flexible schedule.
• Location: Province of Quebec.
• Start date: As soon as possible.
