Description
Do you enjoy working with the elderly? Are your dynamism and creative ideas recognized? Do you enjoy making people smile by always bringing them more happiness and pride in their daily lives? Through your leadership and ability to build trust with users, their families, and the interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Identify and assess the leisure needs of users;
- Determine priorities and develop leisure programs in collaboration with the team, if necessary;
- Develop and create an activity program that meets the needs of a specific clientele (specific unit, CHSLD, prosthetic unit, day center, mental health);
- Prepare grant application projects to obtain the necessary financial assistance for certain activities;
- Prepare the activity schedule and ensure its distribution to the concerned parties;
- Stimulate and motivate users to participate in activities;
- Implement, animate the planned activities, and provide observations on the behavior and attitudes of users;
- Participate in service meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and leisure intervention meetings;
- Maintain regular communication with leisure interveners and municipal, regional, provincial, and federal organizations;
- Promote the psychological and physical well-being of users, their autonomy, and their involvement in leisure activities;
- Ensure the application and respect of safety rules inherent to the implementation of activities.
*Permanent position at CHSLD St-Louis in Témiscouata and CHSLD Villa Maria in Kamouraska* *Replacement available in the Rivière-du-Loup region*
Requirements
- Hold a DEC in Recreation Intervention Techniques from a recognized school by the competent ministry
