Description

Through your leadership and ability to build trust with users, their families, and the interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Identify and assess the leisure needs of users;
• Determine priorities and develop leisure programs in collaboration with the team, if necessary;
• Develop and create an activity program that meets the needs of a specific clientele (specific unit, CHSLD, prosthetic unit, day center, mental health);
• Prepare grant application projects to obtain the necessary financial assistance for certain activities;
• Prepare the activity schedule and ensure its distribution to the concerned parties;
• Stimulate and motivate users to participate in activities;
• Implement, animate the planned activities, and provide observations on the behavior and attitudes of users;
• Participate in service meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and leisure intervention meetings;
• Maintain regular communication with leisure interveners and municipal, regional, provincial, and federal organizations;
• Promote the psychological and physical well-being of users, their autonomy, and their involvement in leisure activities;
• Ensure the application and respect of safety rules inherent to the implementation of activities.

Requirements

• Hold a DEC in Recreation Intervention Techniques from a recognized school by the competent ministry
