We are looking for a Data Specialist to design, develop, and operate robust, secure, and high-performance data pipelines that enable the ingestion, transformation, and availability of large-scale data.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines covering Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers in a modern data architecture.
- Ensure data ingestion (batch and streaming), transformation, and exposure in analytical environments.
- Guarantee data quality through automated controls, traceability, auditability, and replayability of processes.
- Industrialize pipelines through DataOps practices: orchestration, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
- Optimize performance (volume, processing time, cloud costs).
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of data flows in production.
- Participate in supporting and resolving incidents related to pipelines and data platforms.
- Document technical solutions, pipelines, and data models.
- Required Qualities to Succeed in This Role
- Technological Environment
- Languages & frameworks: Python (PySpark, Pandas), advanced SQL (optimization, modeling, analytical queries)
- Data processing & orchestration: Apache Spark, Apache Airflow (or equivalent), ETL/ELT pipelines
- Cloud & data platforms: Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake), Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric (asset)
- Data management: Data modeling (3NF, dimensional, Data Vault), SCD management (Slowly Changing Dimensions), file formats (Parquet, Delta Lake, Avro)
- DevOps & DataOps: CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), Git versioning, data testing automation
- Observability & monitoring: Technical logs, metrics, alerting, monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Datadog, or equivalent)
What You Deliver
- Reliable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines;
- Ready-to-use datasets, cleaned, standardized, and historical;
- Complete and up-to-date technical documentation;
- Industrialized solutions integrating tests, monitoring, and automation.
- Desired Profile
- Experience in data engineering and large-scale data integration;
- Mastery of ETL/ELT concepts and modern data architectures;
- Expertise in SQL and good Python fundamentals;
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, or equivalent);
- Knowledge of DataOps practices and CI/CD;
- Good understanding of data quality, security, and governance issues.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $80,000 and $135,000. This position is vacant.
