Description

Are you curious and enjoy working with the public? Do you have good listening skills and a knack for communication? We are looking for dietetic technicians who can demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and enjoy physical work.

Generally, the tasks you can expect to perform are related to clinical nutrition, food production and distribution, as well as personnel supervision at the conveyor belt.

Specific roles and responsibilities related to clinical nutrition

  • Ensure compliance with diets established as part of the nutritional treatment determined by the nutritionist (including the appropriate texture of dishes and consistency of liquids),
  • Perform the required observations with users,
  • Provide appropriate information to users regarding maintaining good nutrition,
  • Ensure a good understanding of the user's condition and needs in order to make an appropriate report to the nutritionist,
  • Distribute and collect user menus in the units, ensuring verification according to the nutritional plan,
  • Ensure the use and updating of the Functional Food Autonomy Measurement Tool (SMAF) and inform the care staff of the particularities of the users,
  • Establish a link between the food service and the clinical nutrition service,
  • Respond to requests from different services (nursing care, physiotherapy, animation, etc.), in compliance with reserved acts.
  • Operations supervision
  • Coordinate tasks in your area of activity and ensure its proper functioning,
  • Verify that established hygiene and food safety standards are respected,
  • Participate in the quality control of food preparation and service and follow up with your immediate supervisor,
  • Complete all requested documents, temperature control sheets, and other necessary reports for the proper functioning of the sectors,
  • Verify the preparation of portions and ensure the condition of the presentation of foods, both dietetic and regular, and this, in compliance with the required temperatures,
  • Verify the assembly of the client's trays at meal times,
  • Develop, experiment, and standardize recipes and ensure their compliance, in collaboration with the production team leader.
  • Personnel supervision
  • Ensure daily attendance and correct schedules as needed,
  • Address the need for personnel replacement in collaboration with the management of the recall list according to the procedures established by the service manager,
  • Ensure compliance with working hours and authorized break periods,
  • Guide the orientation of new personnel regarding tasks and work techniques,
  • Maintain effective communication with the personnel under your supervision,
  • Ensure compliance with work and maintenance guides for your areas of activity, as well as the organization of reserves and refrigerated spaces,
  • Ensure that personnel comply with established safety standards and wear personal protective equipment when required,
  • Report any issues encountered within your area of activity to your immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in dietetic techniques,
  • Or
  • Hold a college certificate in dietetic techniques.
