We are currently looking for a Project Coordinator in Environmental Characterization and Rehabilitation to join our team in the Rimouski and Quebec regions.
Environmental Assessments
- Research on site history, data compilation, site visits
- Support other teams with targeted research activities.
- Write reports as part of site environmental assessments (Phase I).
- Coordinate all stages of simple environmental characterization projects (Phase II) or portions of complex projects, including preparing purchase orders and coordinating with subcontractors
- Participate in fieldwork related to soil and groundwater characterization (exploration trenches, drilling, installation of observation wells, soil and groundwater sampling)
- Conduct groundwater, biogas, surveying, and hydraulic conductivity tests.
- Conduct site visits to ensure work quality.
- Write and prepare complete technical and site reports
- Familiarize and apply the LQE as well as the relevant regulations and guidelines of the MELCCFP within the framework of environmental projects.
Environmental Rehabilitation
- Participate in fieldwork related to environmental rehabilitation by excavation (sampling of walls and excavation floors).
- Monitor the transport of contaminated soils off-site through the Traces Quebec system
- Participate in the monitoring and maintenance of in-situ treatment systems
- Gather and analyze data using predefined tools, methods, and formats, independently.
Project Management & Coordination
- Work together with project managers.
- Support project management by leading various coordination activities.
- Supervise the activities of field staff and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed assignment memos for field personnel
- Contribute to client relationship management, supporting commercial managers.
- Participate in the preparation of technical service offers and financial proposals
- Participate in technical troubleshooting by supporting the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems related to equipment and experiences.
Technical Schemes & Solution Design
- Create technical drawings to support communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
- Contribute to the development and validation of technical solutions, including feasibility tests.
- Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards.
Waste Management & SSE
- Contribute to waste management and water barrel programs: sorting, storage, transport, and disposal.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (SSE) policies on sites.
- Train the team on safe work methods and report risky behaviors.
Personal Development & Innovation
- Develop your skills through training, mentoring, and participation in conferences.
- Follow the evolution of technologies, standards, and best practices.
- Research and recommend technical improvements to better meet user needs.
Education and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, geological engineering, civil engineering, or other closely related environmental specialties to carry out Phase I, Phase II, and rehabilitation projects
- Possesses between 0 and 2 years of relevant experience
- Excellent mastery of French both orally and in writing.
- ASP Construction Card is mandatory
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle
- Independent, methodical, responsible, resourceful, and punctual person
- Attention to detail. Analytical and synthesis skills
- Available for variable hours
- Available to coordinate or work on sites outside the region, occasionally
