Functional Analyst

We are looking for a Functional Analyst for our public sector client.

• Guide users in the precision and understanding of operational needs regarding the functionalities to be developed or modified;
• Perform functional analysis of the functionalities to be developed or modified;
• Participate in, or develop, write, and modify functional analysis documents of varying complexity in accordance with functional architecture specifications;
• Design and develop system prototypes in accordance with user needs;
• Present the functional dossier to the developer responsible for its implementation and support throughout the development;
• Coordinate and supervise the work of programmers assigned to the implementation of functional dossiers;
• Participate in the elaboration of the testing strategy;
• Develop test scenarios and perform functional and automated testing; support the project team members responsible for integrated testing as well as users for acceptance testing.

Deliverables

• User Functional Dossiers (DFU) describing user interfaces, sufficiently detailed and precise to be well interpreted by programmers, understood by system pilots, and easily modifiable by future system managers of the ministry;
• Application Functional Dossiers (DFA) describing internal reusable functions not directly visible in the application, with the same level of precision;
• Functional Testing Proposal describing the test cases to be performed for the verification of the proper functioning of the application and the developed or maintained units;
• Maintenance Delivery Plan;
• Batch Processing Chain;
• Conversion;
• Documents identified as relevant and underlying the previous responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT (computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering) or equivalent, with a lack of diploma compensated by 6 additional years of experience;
• ≥ 8 years of IT experience, including 2 years as a functional analyst on Java or .Net systems (last 10 years);
• ≥ 3 years of experience in developing object-oriented web systems (Java or similar).

Assets: SQL/Oracle; Agile methodology; government mandate ≥ 6 months.
