Senior Agile Coach

Hybrid role.
Travel to Levis 5-10% of the time.
Work schedule requires availability between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
The senior agile coach supports all directions and vice-presidencies in the integration of agile practices. To this end, he develops contextualized agile tools and methods, designs and implements deployment strategies, trains, motivates, and supports leaders and teams towards a strategic agile operation.
His work improves collaboration, reactivity, velocity, and the quality of the products developed. His main activities, without being exhaustive, are as follows:
- Designs and evolves agile tools and practices, taking into account the needs and context of the organization, acting as an expert in agile transformation:
- Suggests, as an expert, the use and appropriation of agile work frameworks and best practices
- Advises and strategically influences authorities on the orientations to adopt, acting as a change agent in the adoption of agility
- Provides strategic advisory on the evolution of the roadmap for the deployment of agility at scale
- Addresses organizational obstacles to agility
- Supports leaders at all hierarchical levels, primarily executive level, acting as a coach to help them adopt an agile posture:
- Supports leaders in their learning, shares experience to motivate and inspire them, acting as a mentor
- Helps leaders establish an environment conducive to collaboration that fosters engagement and motivation for their teams to work autonomously and continuously improve
- Advises on and performs work enabling the segmentation and implementation of SAFe trains
- Defines and implements a Lean portfolio for information technology projects for the entire institution by establishing new corporate prioritization mechanisms
- Participates in the agile transformation of project management processes (planning, tracking, reporting, cost)
- Integrates multi-team or multi-project agile synchronization (Scrum Masters' mêlée or Scrum of Scrums)
Deliverables Without being exhaustive, here is a list of deliverables that can be realized within the scope of this mandate:
- Agile-based strategies including the orientations to adopt in terms of agility and the activities to prioritize for the agile transformation
- Accompaniment roadmaps based on performance objectives, intervention context, and current agile maturity level
- Accompaniment plans for leaders and teams based on performance objectives, intervention context, and current agile maturity level
- Develop a strategy for the segmentation and implementation of SAFe trains
- Management indicators to measure agile maturity level, team velocity, and performance
- Prepare presentations, executive documents, or reports related to activities to be carried out (analyses, reviews, strategic opinions, recommendations, action plans, implementation plans)
- Strategy and training materials on the SAFe reference framework
- Change management plan
Requirements
- Minimum mandatory expectations (requirements)
- The Senior Agile Coach must meet the following expectations:
- Possess a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the use of an agile framework or coaching in an agile mode, including a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the information technology domain
- Have acted as a senior agile coach in one or more mandates totaling at least 600 days, over the past five (5) years. The presented mandates must be of a minimum scale of 200 days per mandate
- Demonstrate three (3) experiences of more than 20 days each of preparation and delivery of training as a Scrum Master or agile coach over the past five (5) years. These experiences may have been carried out within the same mandate, and these mandates may be those presented in point 2
- Demonstrate three (3) experiences where the resource has acted as an agile coach to managers over the past five (5) years. These experiences may have been carried out within the same mandate, and these mandates may be those presented in point 2 of this section
- The proposed resource must hold a SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification
- Have completed at least one (1) mandate to determine and implement at least one SAFe train over the past five (5) years
- Have completed at least one (1) mandate of "agile coaching" for a minimum period of twelve (12) months in the public or parapublic sector of Quebec or the private sector of Quebec
- Additional desired expectations
- Have at least one experience working with the Azure DevOps tool
- Have at least one experience working as a Scrum Master, agile coach, or any other relevant role with agility in the implementation or evolution of software
