Senior Operations Advisor

About the Role

As a Senior OPS Advisor within our consulting firm SFT, you will play a pivotal role between development teams and operational management. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our clients' critical infrastructures. Your mission will combine cutting-edge technical expertise in Linux and automation (DevOps) with a strategic vision of system architecture.

Main Responsibilities

Desired Profile

• Infrastructure Management and Optimization:
• Ensure the availability, integrity, and performance of environments under your responsibility
• Keep infrastructure architecture plans up to date and participate in the analysis of needs for the implementation of new solutions
• Develop remediation plans for assets with performance or compliance gaps
• Lead the planning of preventive activities (inventory, updates, scaling, monitoring, and backups)
• Automation and DevOps Culture:
• Ensure systematic automation of recurring tasks to increase efficiency
• Implement and optimize automated testing mechanisms (integration, security, and performance)
• Contribute to increasing the quality and frequency of software deliveries
• Ensure the robustness and uniformity of deployment processes
• Expert Support and Diagnostics:
• Perform complex diagnostics during critical incidents and implement durable corrective measures
• Support development teams and guide the application of best technological practices
• Implement and ensure the proper functioning of monitoring tools

Technical Requirements (Essential)

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in heterogeneous technological environments
• Linux Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration
• Technological Mastery (3+ years of experience required for each tool):
• + Automation & CI/CD: Ansible, Jenkins, Git
• + Monitoring: Zabbix
• + Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Podman or Cri-o
• + Virtualization: VMware
• Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python, Shell, and PowerShell
• Web & Services: Solid knowledge of Apache, PHP, NGINX, and standard services (NFS, Kerberos, NTP, SMB, Syslog)

Cross-functional Skills

• Cloud: Good knowledge of Azure or AWS environments
• Architecture: Comprehensive understanding of complex infrastructures (storage, telecom, databases)
• Documentation: Ability to produce rigorous technical documentation
• Languages: Perfect mastery of French (written/spoken) and functional English
