Host/Hostess

Working in the hospitality and restaurant industry for nearly 50 years, Gray Collection is a prestigious group of locally authentic hotels and restaurants that offer travelers from around the world the experience of convivial luxury. The host/hostess establishes the first contact with the client, whether in person or by phone. They offer a warm welcome, manage reservations, and provide support to the dining room team to provide the clientele with an exceptional gastronomic experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations in the dining room;
• Ensure the menus are in perfect condition;
• Welcome clients upon arrival, assign them a table according to the established room plans, accompany them, and adjust the number of plates;
• Offer assistance to the dining room team when necessary during service;
• Thank clients upon departure, inquire about their satisfaction, and invite them to return;
• Ensure the cleanliness of their work area, bathrooms, and dining room;
• Answer the phone according to the established procedure;
• Perform any other tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the dining room service.

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the same position;
• Strong customer service skills;
• Autonomy;
• Resourcefulness;
• Organizational skills;
• Excellent communication skills in English and French, both oral and written.
