Provide exceptional service to current and potential BMO clients. Determine clients' needs and provide advice and counsel on financial solutions that are in the client's best interest. Work collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall goals.
- Determine clients' needs and provide client referrals to BMO colleagues.
- Support client requests for banking services, including transaction processing and in-branch client support.
- Welcome clients warmly and meet their banking and transaction needs without difficulty.
- Advise and direct clients on digital and self-service options that will make banking transactions with BMO user-friendly, simple, and fast.
- Review client profiles and initiate conversations with them focused on their needs to identify potential opportunities to offer them common banking services programs and a choice of credit cards.
- Contribute to branch results and customer experience.
- Collaborate on operational activities (e.g., inventory management, forwarding service requests to higher levels, tracking client requests, filing, and opening and closing activities).
- Manage cash transaction entry and reconciliation between the treasury and various branches (e.g., bill recycler).
- Perform routine tasks (e.g., processing service requests, transactions, and inquiries) while adhering to relevant service level agreements.
- Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and local team.
- Understand the needs of clients for individual banking services and credit cards and integrate promotional offers and marketing programs into client conversations to provide strategic advice.
- Organize information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Take the initiative to apply creative approaches to bring a human dimension to each customer experience.
- Seek ways to participate in the continuous improvement of the overall customer experience in the branch.
- Contribute to business results and the overall experience offered in the branch.
- As needed, fulfill your duties in multiple branches according to market needs; work schedules may vary from week to week, in terms of days, hours, and shifts.
- Monitor risk and compliance policies and processes to protect clients' assets and their confidentiality and act in their best interest.
- Stay informed about what's happening in the financial services market, legislation, and regulation, as well as our commitment to meeting the sector's most rigorous ethical requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with knowledge related to products, practices, and trends in individual banking services and integrate them into client conversations.
- Identify and report any suspicious habits that may be associated with money laundering.
- Comply with territorial legal and regulatory requirements.
- Protect the Bank's assets in accordance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
- Perform standardized tasks under supervision.
- Resolve issues while adhering to established rules and limits and escalate to higher levels as needed.
- Broader tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Take measured risks while protecting the Bank by applying our risk management framework in the performance of your duties, in accordance with our risk management culture and our approved risk appetite, making risk-informed decisions that align with business strategy, protect assets, and comply with applicable policy documents (frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and related documents), laws, and regulation.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required; post-secondary education or certification in a related field desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of services offered to individuals and businesses, and those offered by partners, as well as how each can meet clients' individual needs.
- Proficiency and experience in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
- Strong skills in helping people who find digital applications not intuitive to learn to use them with confidence and understand their benefits.
- Adopt a professional attitude.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to guide clients to specialists.
- Passion for helping clients.
- Motivation to offer personalized customer experiences.

- $34,750.00 - $47,250.00

The above represents the range and type of compensation offered by BMO Financial Group.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the position and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time positions will be calculated on a prorated basis for the number of regularly worked hours. For commission roles, the aforementioned salary represents BMO Financial Group's target for the first year in the position.
The total compensation offered by BMO will vary depending on the type of compensation associated with the position and may include performance bonuses, discretionary bonuses, as well as other benefits and rewards.
