YOUR ROLE
What will be your impact as a Business Development Coordinator at ÉTS's Partnership Initiatives Office?
The Partnership Initiatives Office (PIO) is responsible for creating, deploying, and animating strategic research hubs. This service initiates, coordinates, and develops partnerships with industrial, social, and economic sectors. It contributes to the characterization, dissemination, and promotion of ÉTS's priority research areas. The PIO reports to the Executive Director of Research and Partnerships (DERP).
You contribute to the realization of ÉTS's potential in research and innovation partnerships in strategic areas. You receive and qualify requests from partners interested in developing collaborative research projects; you plan, organize, and coordinate the visits of potential partners to ÉTS's campus; you establish and maintain relationships with organizations in the research and innovation ecosystem, and you are responsible for optimizing partnership management processes and systems.
On a daily basis, you
- Receive and qualify requests from partners interested in developing collaborative research projects.
- Follow up on institutional agreements initiated by the Partnership Initiatives Office.
- Support the structuring and follow-up of strategic partnerships.
- Are responsible for the continuous mapping and updating of processes and ensure their implementation.
- Define performance indicators and monitor them.
- Produce analyses and reports to support decision-making.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the conduct of industrial and institutional visits to ÉTS's campus, in collaboration with professors and other ÉTS services.
- Identify and participate in relevant events, conferences, and forums to promote ÉTS's research.
- In collaboration with the communications service, you contribute to the promotion and dissemination of ÉTS's research to external and internal audiences.
- DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO MEET THE CHALLENGE?
Education
- You hold a bachelor's degree in administration or engineering or any other university degree deemed equivalent in an appropriate field. This gives you a good foundation of knowledge that is useful to you on a daily basis.
- You hold a master's or doctorate in engineering or science (an asset).
Experience
- You have three years of relevant experience in business development, partnership management, or strategic project coordination, ideally gained in an industrial or academic setting.
- YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU HAVE:
Specialized Skills
- You are self-sufficient and capable of managing your time and complex and varied files effectively.
- You have a great capacity to work in a team and an aptitude to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- You are proficient in data analysis, including structured and unstructured data, as well as performance indicator tracking tools and dashboard creation (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- You are comfortable communicating in English with different partners, both orally and in writing (intermediate level).
- You adopt a proactive, customer-service-oriented approach focused on partner satisfaction.
Other Skills
- You have a good knowledge of the academic and industrial research and innovation environment.
- You have excellent writing skills and excellent mastery of French, both written and oral.
- You have experience in networking and are able to develop relationships with a diversity of partners.
