As a Driver Supervisor, you are responsible for managing and supervising truck drivers to ensure that transportation operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Your daily routine: Transport Management:
- Supervise the loading and unloading of equipment, honoring safety standards before departure to minimize accident risks and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor driver movements including departures, arrivals, stop times, and others.
- Supervise drivers in their daily tasks, provide clear instructions, and resolve issues that may arise on the road.
- Accompany drivers during regular delivery activities.
- Order the necessary materials and supplies for the smooth conduct of delivery activities.
- Operational Responsibilities:
- Ensure the necessary training of drivers and ensure that mandatory requirements are met in compliance with regulations, safe driving practices, and equipment use.
- Monitor the quality of service provided by drivers in transportation.
- Respond quickly to incidents such as breakdowns, accidents, or delays, coordinating necessary actions to minimize impact on operations.
- Collaborate with other departments (customer service, mechanical workshops, and transportation distribution) to align company needs with transportation activities.
- Identify and propose improvements to make operations more efficient, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Respond to any other related tasks as needed by the organization.
- Your profile:
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar supervisory and transportation operations coordination role;
- Hold a DEC in transportation (asset);
- Be autonomous, methodical, organized, and meticulous;
- Have the ability to mobilize and lead a team in a unionized environment and a fast-paced work environment;
- Have a good understanding of laws and regulations related to road transportation;
- Be customer-oriented and demonstrate excellent team spirit;
- Have good communication skills both orally and in writing in French;
- Be proficient in using Outlook, Word, and Excel software;
- Be skilled in using fleet management software, GPS systems, and other technological tools (strong asset);
- Bilingualism desired.
