We are looking for a passionate Host to join our dynamic team. As a Host, your primary responsibility is to create a welcoming atmosphere upon the arrival of our guests. You will play a crucial role as the orchestrator in the dining room, efficiently managing reservations on OpenTable and collaborating closely with the head waiter. Your ability to organize the flow of guests, provide accurate information, and meet specific needs will ensure a smooth and memorable dining experience for each of our guests.

YOUR ROLE IS CRUCIAL

• Welcome our guests warmly and distinctly.
• Assign tables according to the room plans.
• Accompany our guests to their tables and adjust the number of place settings, if necessary.
• Manage reservations and calls for our restaurants and terraces with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Monitor the status of menus and ensure adequate quantities.
• Provide impeccable service in accordance with the high standards of the brand.
• Offer your support to the dining room team, as needed, during service.
• Maintain the cleanliness of your work area, restrooms, and dining room.
• Work as a team and communicate positively with other members of the Corner team.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times and interact with our guests, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
• Be knowledgeable about the hotel's offerings and schedules to provide complete information to customers.

WE NEED YOU IF

• You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant establishment or as a receptionist or host.
• You are familiar with the operation of a point-of-sale (POS) system and OpenTable, an asset.
• You have the energy, stamina, and availability for this demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• You are bilingual in French and English, capable of effectively communicating with an international clientele and writing emails in both languages to meet the needs of guests.
• You maintain exemplary service standards at all times.
• You are passionate, friendly, and professional, with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
• You embody a culture focused on excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
• You are disciplined and process-oriented, capable of working calmly in all situations.
• You create a welcoming environment for our guests, colleagues, and the community.
