What you will accomplish with us

As a Data Governance HR Advisor, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Define and operationalize the HR data governance strategy for the VPTC, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and personal information protection.
  • Represent the VPTC within corporate data governance bodies, assuming a role as a business data steward.
  • Establish and evolve data quality mechanisms, including controls, monitoring indicators, and data lifecycle management.
  • Ensure compliance, risk management, and data classification in HR, in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and make HR data available for advanced uses, such as advanced analytics, predictive modeling, automation, and AI use cases.
  • Define, structure, and maintain HR data standards, metadata, and definitions, facilitating cross-functional data stewardship tables and resolving discrepancies.
  • Serve as an expert-advisor to Talent and Culture teams and partners, defining directions, proposing innovative solutions, and guiding the evolution of data-related practices.
  • Raise awareness, mobilize, and support stakeholders, applying strategic and tactical thinking, and contributing to organizational projects requiring data-driven decision-making.

  • We are looking for a person who:
  • Is recognized for their influential leadership and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional manner, particularly with VPTC, IT, and other departments.
  • Stands out for their ability to exercise strategic and tactical thinking to analyze data-related issues, guide practices, inform decision-making, and propose structural improvements.
  • Demonstrates a high level of communication and simplification skills, enabling them to make complex data, analytics, and AI concepts accessible.
  • Is recognized for their good understanding of data analytics and artificial intelligence principles, as well as their knowledge of HRIS and analytics environments (Workday, Snowflake, Power BI – an asset).
  • Possesses a minimum of 10 years of experience in data, information systems, HR processes, analytics, or information management roles, with at least 7 years of experience in data governance, management, or analytics roles.
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in information systems, analytics, human resources, administration, or a related field. Any additional training or certification in data governance, analytics, or personal information protection is considered an asset.
  • Advanced English language proficiency since the person will be required to interact daily in English, both orally and in writing, and participate in workshops with American subsidiaries.
