Position Overview

  • dormakaba is seeking a Test Operator based in Montreal (evening). This role will report directly to the Production Supervisor. The Test Operator plays a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of dormakaba's electronic products by performing functional tests on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using dedicated test jigs and equipment. Working closely with the manufacturing engineering and quality assurance teams, the Test Operator helps identify defects early in the production process, contributing directly to the reliability of the access solutions that keep our customers' spaces secure. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role well-suited to someone who takes pride in precision work and wants to grow their skills in electronics testing within a collaborative production environment.
  • Hourly Rate: $21.84 - $24.97/hour

What you will do

  • Prepare the setup of the test jigs.
  • Verify the PCBs with the test jigs, by following the test instructions set by the manufacturing engineering group.
  • Working with the following tools: oscilloscope, multimeter, frequency counter, variable power supply, and computer.
  • Provide feedback to the operators and/or the technicians concerned when repetitive problems occur.
  • Make simple setups according to instructions on the test sheets.
  • Keep the people in charge informed about everything related to quality assurance.
  • Work with a variety of drawings and work instructions.
  • Accurately document test results and flag any non-conformities for further investigation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

  • Proficient manual dexterity and visual acuity
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of electronic assembly procedures
  • Experience in assembly position and in soldering
  • Computer savvy
