The person we are looking for is passionate about numbers, curious to understand the story behind financial results, and motivated to contribute to the company's financial success in a dynamic environment, while supporting the development of our new Little Rock, Arkansas plant.

Do you have what it takes?

  • + Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • + Member of the CPA order (asset)

+ Mastery of US GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.

+ More than 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in an international and manufacturing context.

+ Experience in the food industry or accounting firm with a portfolio of manufacturing clients will be considered a major asset.

+ Excellent mastery of Microsoft 365 tools.

+ Experience working with SAP S4Hana + Knowledge of SAP Cloud Analytic, Hyperion/Smartview, Floqast and Vena (an asset).

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

+ Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, to effectively support teams based in the United States.

+ Willingness to travel to the United States +

An overview of the role:

Reporting to the Commercial Director and FP&A and collaborating with the Plant Director, you are a key business partner to the operations management team. You work to optimize the company's financial resources, analyze the financial performance of operations, analyze results, and ensure the optimization of processes (under your control).

More specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:

Cost and Inventory Management

  • Establish, evaluate, and ensure the control of standard production costs for the plant based in the United States
  • Maintain the cost center structure and allocation rules according to operational changes.
  • Analyze current costs after each month-end to determine deviations from standard costs and identify their source.
  • Monitor and analyze stock levels to support production and logistics teams in inventory optimization
  • Perform stock provision reviews and ensure their accuracy and compliance
  • Lead annual site inventory activities

Financial Accounting and Internal Controls

  • Analyze cost deviations of operations between budget, actual, and forecast.
  • Explain operational departmental deviations at month-end to the Plant Director.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of production order status in SAP and perform end-of-month financial closing procedures.
  • Prepare all information needed for inventory cuts.
  • Ensure the proper application of relevant internal controls of the company and propose improvements as needed.
  • Prepare information related to government incentive programs.
  • Analyze capital expenditures, produce the required reports, and contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Business Partner

  • Act as a key financial partner to the operations team and participate in operational activity follow-up meetings.
  • Participate in the budgeting and monthly forecasting process, supporting each director or manager reporting to the Little Rock Plant Director in preparing their budget.
  • Support the operations management team in expense control, explaining budgetary deviations, and any other required financial support.
  • Support the Americas region finance team.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to quickly identify opportunities and risks.
