Official Internal Job Title: Data Consultant

Status: Temporary (Determined Duration) *This is a temporary position until March 31, 2028*

Recognized for your expertise in data management, your communication skills, and your ability to adapt to change management, join the Data and Financial Analysis Direction as a Data Consultant.

In this role, you will contribute to the establishment of a data stewardship and support expertise for the Executive Vice Presidency (VPE) of Individual Insurance and Financial Services (AISF). You will ensure the proper conduct of activities related to data and align with the organization's strategic directions. Your expertise and leadership will enable you to support the VPE AISF teams in achieving their data value objectives and the Chief Data Steward of AISF.

As an initiator of established priorities, you will work collaboratively with the organization's data experts. Additionally, you will act as a bridge between the VPE AISF teams and the corporate data governance. Your achievements will contribute to strengthening the organization's data orientation, all in a hybrid mode.

You will excel in the following functions: *Data Stewardship Section*

  • Be responsible for a set of data and apply data governance principles to support the Chief Data Steward
  • Collaborate in the creation, implementation, and continuous support of data management policies, standards, processes, and tools
  • Organize and prepare periodic meetings with data experts and ensure that efforts and deliverables comply with established data management policies, standards, and processes
  • Assume the operational link between the VPE AISF data stewardship and the existing data governance team within the organization
  • Promote and raise awareness about responsible data behaviors
  • Participate in the data governance implementation plan for the VPE
  • *Data Value Section*
  • Ensure the application of business and data quality rules related to information (personal data, sensitive data, security, lifecycle, classification, retention period, transformed data...)
  • Monitor data management throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with governance, security, and compliance frameworks
  • Determine a roadmap for data value support activities for your sector: inventory, situational analysis, ongoing work
  • Identify data issues, recommend, and initiate solutions in collaboration with the concerned teams
  • Develop access and usage rules for the information you are responsible for and participate in the implementation of the access granting process
  • Participate in data governance initiatives and ensure that processes are applied within the VPE AISF.

Your skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, management information systems, business intelligence, administration, statistics, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the data domain
  • Experience with a recognized DMBOK framework (asset)
  • Experience in defining or evolving business processes (asset)
  • In-depth knowledge of the individual insurance and financial services sector
  • Advanced French language proficiency and intermediate English language proficiency in writing, due to the nature of tasks or interactions with anglophone colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers, or to meet the company's growth objectives.
