The Montreal facility (Quebec, Canada) is looking for qualified individuals to fill a Senior Business Finance Analyst position. This is a permanent full-time position.
The incumbent will need to develop sufficient knowledge of the financial functions of the teams responsible for the Shared Financial Services (SFS) systems in order to support these teams for IT service tickets and projects during user acceptance testing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Understand the implications of different projects on the team, the tests that will be necessary, the possible changes to business processes, as well as changes to roles and responsibilities;
- Support the manager in the integration of SFS systems with projects that have an impact on customer accounts, vendor accounts, and the sales and discounts accounting team;
- Develop sufficient knowledge of the financial functions assigned within the Shared Financial Services group to support the SFS teams in projects;
- Provide technical support and demonstrate leadership to ensure that the company's needs are met;
- Provide system advice and recommendations to business sector managers;
- Develop and execute user acceptance tests for the different SFS departments, based on changes or IT projects, and provide the results of these tests to the responsible SFS Chief;
- Lead regular information meetings with the concerned parties.

- Professional Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent combination of studies or experience;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting;
- Experience in finance-related work and user acceptance testing would be preferable;
- Ability to apply knowledge of the business system modules related to the finance activity domains and maintain an understanding of interdependencies with other modules;
- Several years of experience with different billing or accounting systems (integrated management system or independent system, preferably SAP and JDE);
- Experience working on different projects (project management is an asset);
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
