Supervisor - Projects and Maintenance

HOURS 40 hours SALARY $88,275.20 YOUR CONTRIBUTION

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of internal teams assigned to maintenance and internal work, according to objectives and priorities established with management;
• Ensure compliance with and application of safety directives and procedures;
• Plan, organize, supervise, and control short- and medium-term maintenance activities based on objectives, action plans, and management priorities;
• Update scheduling in the Carl Source GMAO system to maintain an overall view;
• Create work orders and work notices in the Carl Source GMAO system;
• Develop and optimize work methods, control systems, and maintenance procedures applicable to your team;
• Supervise the execution of preventive maintenance schedules (annual, monthly, weekly), monitor progress, and produce required reports;
• Manage inventory of parts and accessories;
• Participate in the preparation of budget forecasts for your sector and submit them to the service management;
• Follow up on billing-related matters, control, and validate invoice costs (compare billing and submission);
• Coordinate the opening of tenders with the registry, Purchasing Service, and selection committee, and prepare the recommendation for contract award;
• Conduct the opening and closing of sites with the Commission for the Norms, Equity, Health, and Safety at Work (CNESST) and complete the required documentation;
• Participate in site and project meetings with consultants and municipal services;
• Respond to and follow up on complaints from internal and external clients;
• Be familiar with and act in accordance with the health and safety at work policy and prevention program;
• Perform any other tasks that your immediate supervisor may request.

THE CANDIDATE WE ARE LOOKING FOR MUST

• Hold a college diploma (DEC) in industrial maintenance, architecture, civil engineering, or a relevant discipline, or any combination of education and experience deemed equivalent;
• Have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in the field, including one year of experience in supervising or coordinating work teams;
• Demonstrate significant experience in managing a preventive maintenance program;
• Be familiar with tendering, procurement, and contract award methods in the municipal domain;
• Possess knowledge of building mechanics, building codes, and applicable standards, as well as plan reading;
• Exhibit leadership and the ability to supervise staff;
• Hold a valid driver's license.
