Fiber Optic Splicer

Job Description: We are looking for a competent and experienced fiber optic splicer to join our team for both interior and exterior projects in the province of Quebec.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO

• Perform fiber optic splicing of multimode, single-mode fibers from various manufacturers and fiber optic termination for projects in accordance with industry standards and project requirements;
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain cables and connectors associated with fiber optic equipment;
• Conduct OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) tests and power meter and OLTS measurements;
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to ensure the successful execution of the project;
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment;
• Provide technical support and assistance to team members as needed.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THESE SKILLS AND QUALITIES

• 5+ years of experience in fiber optic splicing and structured cabling;
• Fiber optic certification;
• Experience in structured cabling, installation of Network CAT6, CAT6A cables and others is an asset;
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, schematics, and technical drawings;
• Team spirit, good communication, and commitment to quality work;
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record;
• Hold the ASP construction card.
