Your mandate

As an Environmental Professional, you will participate in various environmental initiatives in diverse sectors such as transportation (road, rail), mining and metals, port facilities, and energy.

You will have the opportunity to conduct impact studies as well as implementation projects of eco-responsible solutions in areas such as road and infrastructure construction, climate change, renewable energies, restoration of mining sites, and much more.

Your challenges

• Characterization of wetlands and hydrological environments: Plan, coordinate, and carry out inventories and ecological characterizations of wetlands and hydrological environments, in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory compliance: Plan and supervise the preparation of environmental authorization applications as well as the required technical documentation for projects affecting wetlands and hydrological environments.
• Environmental issue management: Identify, assess, and propose mitigation measures to minimize impacts on natural environments and ensure the sustainability of ecosystems.
• Technical communication and reporting: Write characterization reports, environmental analyses, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Project management: Ensure the planning, coordination, and follow-up of mandates to ensure their completion within the respect of deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Environmental project implementation: Design, coordinate, and supervise environmental projects in the transportation, mining, and energy sectors, including the evaluation of impacts on wetlands and the development of adapted solutions.
• Environmental sustainability: Promote innovative and sustainable approaches favoring the conservation, restoration, and enhancement of wetlands and associated ecosystems.
• Strategic planning: Contribute to the development of environmental strategies for large-scale projects, integrating the best scientific, technical, and regulatory practices related to wetlands.

Your profile

• University degree in environment, biology, geography, geology, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the environment or a similar role.
• Significant experience in the study, characterization, and evaluation of wetlands.
• Experience in the field of environmental studies or field monitoring is an asset.
• Good knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.
• Good knowledge of environmental study methodologies, modeling tools (e.g., GIS, specialized software), and applicable regulations.
• Sense of organization and ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to popularize technical data for diverse audiences.
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and problem-solving skills in a proactive manner.
• Excellent analytical skills and synthesis ability.
• Structured in time and priority management.
• Proficiency in French and English (asset), both oral and written.
