The Train Control & Monitoring Systems (TCMS) team is responsible for maintaining, improving, and evolving the software systems used in operating train fleets. Embedded systems on board the trains accumulate and transmit data via wireless links to ground systems referred to as "Wayside". The Wayside system receives, processes, archives, and presents this data to users in the context of fleet operation, preventive and reactive maintenance.

As a Test Architect, you will become an artisan of the technical excellence of our Wayside solutions/systems. If you are looking for a role that has a direct impact on the safety and efficiency of tomorrow's transportation, this challenge is for you.

Your future role

Within the TCMS team, the Wayside Test Architect plays a pivotal role in ensuring the availability and reliability of test environments to deliver solutions of impeccable integrity.

You have developed strong knowledge and skills in software or system testing in complex and multi-system environments, you are our ideal candidate.

Your key responsibilities

  • Architecture & Strategy: Design test environments and platforms (simulators, benches, networks) to maximize system test coverage
  • Automation: Develop scripts and tools to integrate tests
  • Execution & Analysis: Drive requirement traceability, diagnose complex anomalies, and optimize test coverage
  • Observability: Implement advanced tools (logs, network captures, traces) for precise diagnostics
  • Adhere rigorously to the processes, methods, and tools in place corresponding to these activities

About you

Beyond your technical expertise, we are looking for a passionate and engaged personality. However, to fully succeed in this role and meet our technological challenges, you ideally possess the following key skills and qualities:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years in software or system testing in multi-system complex environments.
  • Technical: Mastery of scripting (Python, Bash), networks (TCP/IP, Ethernet), and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins).
  • Tools: Knowledge of requirement management (DOORS) and databases (SQL).
  • Soft Skills: Rigorous analytical mindset and ability to thrive in an international, multi-site, and matrix organization (Bilingual French/English required)

Location: Saint-Bruno (South Shore of Montreal).

Status: Permanent, full-time (40h)

Model: Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote).
