About the role

The role can be based in Montreal or Saguenay. Note that you will need to be mobile to go to one or the other of these locations.

As a New Graduate in Integrated Operations, you will participate in a rotation program to gain diverse experience within the Value Chain Optimization and CAPEX teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining performance indicators (KPI) dashboards, forecasts, and performance reports.
• Supporting activities related to the logistics of raw materials and by-products, inventory management, and material tracking.
• Collaborating with stakeholders from various operational and functional teams.
• Participating in the deployment of a new system that will replace the current project portfolio management platform.
• Contributing to data management activities, including validating the current database, cleaning data, and ensuring its accuracy in the new system.
• Supporting change management activities by developing communication materials (memos, presentations, etc.) and training tools.
• Collaborating with technical teams to validate adjustments to Power BI.
• Participating in the development of CAPEX data governance documentation.
• Participating in the budget loading process in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and documenting it.

Your contribution

• Commitment to your safety and that of your team
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management / Administration (logistics, productivity, supply chain, project management) or Finance (procurement, commercial affairs, cost management) completed in 2025, 2024, or by August 2026
• Less than two years of relevant experience (local and international)
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Work authorization in Canada
• Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written. Rio Tinto is a global company, and the functions of this role require daily collaboration with colleagues, teams, or partners based outside Quebec.

Our Montreal office is one of Rio Tinto’s headquarters and supports Canadian, American, and other global operations. It is the global headquarters of our aluminum product group, a leader in the industry, and supports production activities for various materials including diamonds, copper, iron, and other industrial materials. In addition to business relations, our Montreal office houses other functions such as procurement, human resources, information technology, and finance.

Rio Tinto Aluminium has been present in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean for over 100 years. In the region, our facilities include an alumina refinery, four electrolysis plants, six hydroelectric power stations, our Arvida Research and Development Center, the Aluminum Operations Center, a railway, and a port. Our state-of-the-art electrolysis plants produce "responsible" certified aluminum.
