Summary

Reporting to the Director of IT, Enterprise Assurance and Taxation, the Developer Analyst will participate in projects, enhancements, operations, and maintenance of systems under the responsibility of the team. Comfortable with the principles and practices of the Agile approach, he will perform programming in the target software (Guidewire, Amazon Web Services) while respecting the methods and standards established by the management. He will write appropriate documentation and ensure the reliability of the systems and the quality of his code.

You will excel in the following functions

  • Develop and adapt solutions according to the requirements and best practices in place at Beneva.
  • Participate in optimization, performance, and security initiatives for applications and processes.
  • Analyze and resolve issues raised to ensure the continuity of operations.
  • Perform various tests (functional, performance, etc.) to validate the stability, security, and quality of the new features developed.
  • Perform maintenance of solutions.
  • Perform deployments.
  • Produce technical documentation of the developed solutions.
  • Ensure the quality of his code with more experienced resources.
  • Support and maintain the production systems in place (operations).
  • Participate in the breakdown of work to be done and the estimation of the efforts required for the development of solutions.
  • Actively contribute to the development team's activities (code review, various Agile ceremonies, management meetings, etc.).

Your skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Accumulate a minimum of three (3) years of experience in computer development
  • Knowledge of the Java language
  • Knowledge of the Gosu programming language and development tools related to the Guidewire software
  • Experience in the insurance domain (asset)
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of Git and/or Github source management tools
  • Knowledge of Jenkins delivery pipeline tools
  • Knowledge of GT Framework of Guidewire test automation tools (asset)
  • Proficiency in French, both orally and in writing, as well as functional proficiency in English, both orally and in writing, due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with colleagues, partners, clients, or suppliers who are anglophones, or to meet the company's growth objectives
