Geomatics Programmer Analyst

Solution SFT is seeking a Geomatics Programmer Analyst for a client project in the public sector in the city of Quebec.

Mode: Remote work from Canada (on-site presence in Quebec, if exceptionally required)

TASKS TO BE PERFORMED

• Perform programming tasks for the evolution and optimization of geomatics application features
• Migrate web geomatics application components (frontend and backend)
• Migrate, adapt, and test applications consuming geomatics web services (REST, WMS, WFS)
• Design and implement data automation and processing workflows for geospatial data (Python, FME, ModelBuilder)
• Participate in the integration, optimization, and evolution of spatial databases, in collaboration with relevant teams

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Education
• Hold an AEC, DEC, university certificate, or first-cycle degree in computer science or equivalent discipline
• Non-Canadian diploma: provide MIFI comparative evaluation
• A copy of the diploma MUST be attached to the submission
• Work Language
• Excellent French oral and written proficiency
• Geomatics development experience
• ETL tools: FME Flow or FME Form; automation scripts: Python, ArcPy
• Web mapping application development
• Geospatial web services in a web environment: WMS, WFS, GeoJSON, REST
• Web cartographic dissemination
• Experience with web cartographic dissemination solutions, including GeoCortex
• Agile project management
• Experience using Azure DevOps, including Scrum or Kanban boards, and task management and tracking
