Description

About the Role

Twelve months in, this role owns a clean, current set of books across every Letmetalk entity: nothing overdue, nothing reconciled after the fact. Payroll and commissions go out accurately and on schedule every cycle. GST/QST filings are never late. And the COO gets a reliable, on-time P&L every month without having to chase it. You’ll be the person who turns “where do things stand financially” into a five-minute answer, not a two-week scramble.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable across all Letmetalk entities: invoicing, collections, vendor payment runs, and expense coding.
  • Run payroll end-to-end: bi-weekly/semi-monthly processing, source deductions (DAS), and benefits administration, in line with Quebec employment and tax requirements.
  • Process commission payouts and other variable or billable compensation on schedule, reconciled against sales and contractor records.
  • Prepare and file GST/QST (TPS/TVQ) remittances on time, every period, and flag any exposure before it becomes a problem.
  • Deliver monthly P&Ls and supporting financial statements on a consistent, predictable cadence, with variances flagged proactively rather than explained after the fact.
  • Maintain clean, audit-ready books: bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger accuracy, and a real month-end close process.
  • Partner directly with the COO on cash flow visibility, budget tracking, and financial hygiene as the group scales.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience, with hands-on payroll processing.
  • Working knowledge of GST/QST (TPS/TVQ) filing requirements and source deduction (DAS) remittances in Quebec.
  • Proficiency with standard accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage) and comfort learning new tools as our stack evolves.
  • Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written; this role deals directly with Quebec compliance filings, employees, and vendors.
  • A track record of hitting closing and filing deadlines independently, with high accuracy and low error tolerance.
  • Experience bookkeeping across multiple related entities or companies.
  • Experience calculating and processing commission or other variable compensation.
  • Familiarity with GoHighLevel, ClickUp, PandaDoc, or similar operational tool stacks.
  • A DEC/AEC or degree in accounting, or progress toward a CPA designation.

What We Offer

  • Base salary
  • 4 weeks of paid vacation annually
  • Comprehensive group benefits (health, dental, vision)
  • Hybrid work with schedule flexibility
  • Quarterly Operational Excellence Bonus
