What we offer

• Starting salary of $25.66/h with salary increases based on hours worked ($28.86/h after 1,000 hours, $30.47/h after 2,000 hours, and $32.07/h after 3,000+ hours);
• Evening shift premium of $1.50/h, if applicable for this position;
• Paychecks issued every week;

• Collective REER with employer contribution of 3% after the probationary period;

What we offer

• Starting salary of $24/hour, with several salary increases based on hours worked, up to $32/hour after 3 years, plus evening shift premium;
• Evening shift schedule from 3:30 PM to midnight;
• Paychecks issued every week;

About the position – Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate automatic, semi-automatic, and manual cutting and bending machines safely.
• Lift and load steel bars weighing up to 50 pounds manually onto the machines.
• Untangle and shake steel bars weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Keep hands, clothing, and tools away from all moving parts and follow safety devices and protections.
• Inspect and check machines at the beginning of shifts to detect loose parts, leaks, or signs of wear.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to prevent injuries.
• Clean machines and work areas after following appropriate shutdown and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Always comply with AGF's health and safety policies.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.
• About you: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment;
• Basic math/measurement skills;
• Ability to learn and use various types of manufacturing equipment;
• Ability to perform physical work – lifting/moving up to 50 lbs;
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical work;
• Good communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and strong teamwork aptitude.
