- Main Responsibilities
His responsibilities cover the complete lifecycle of aerospace products from suppliers across all aerospace programs:
Represent Manufacturing Engineering within the Procurement Multifunctional Teams (Procurement MFT), providing technical expertise, support for supplier selection (RFPs), and studies on supplier capabilities.
Monitor and support suppliers on new industrializations, Transfers of Work with evaluations of APQP Key Business Deliverables.
Ensure the application of the FU.IN.06 process and reference documents by Manufacturing Engineering operational teams.
Minimize industrial risks with suppliers, ensure industrial performance and competitiveness by promoting innovation and process improvement.
Eradicate non-quality (non-conformities, concessions).
*Job Requirements*
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (important asset).
- Training or certification in APQP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or supplier management (asset).
Experience
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Significant experience in industrialization, aerospace structure manufacturing, or supply chain management.
- Participation in production transfers (Transfer of Work) or new product introductions (NPI).
- Experience in evaluating and tracking APQP Key Business Deliverables.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of major aerospace structures (fuselage, wings, empennages, doors, structural panels, etc.).
- Mastery of industrialization and ramp-up processes.
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality processes:
- + APQP
- + PPAP
- + FAI (AS9102)
- + AS9100
- + Non-conformity and concession management
- Experience in industrial risk analysis and mitigation plans.
- Good understanding of procurement and RFP processes.
- Ability to conduct industrial capability evaluations with suppliers.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methods (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of SAP, Skywise, or PLM tools is an asset.
