Mandate
Temporary position for a duration of 4 years.
Under the hierarchical authority of the head of the library and health literacy service, the project manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the health literacy project "Ma santé éclairée" while ensuring tracking and control through dedicated tools. They coordinate the teams involved in the various working groups, ensure effective communication with stakeholders, and provide regular reporting to the appropriate authorities.
Here are the missions associated with this position:
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Plans schedules, necessary resources, and their consistency with the budget
- Ensures the coordination of activities and ensures the achievement of objectives within the given deadlines
- Ensures tracking in connection with the project in the dedicated tracking tool of the direction
- Monitors and controls the project: monitors progress and implements corrective actions if necessary
- Identifies issues and brings them to the attention of the appropriate stakeholders for resolution
- Escalates concerns to the authorities when necessary
COMMUNICATION
- Constitutes, represents, supervises, coordinates, and motivates teams in the various working groups and ensures clear and effective communication
- Manages conflicts or disagreements within the project team and facilitates their resolution
- Represents the project team during meetings with authorities, promoters, and the steering committee: communicates progress, challenges, and project needs to stakeholders
- Plans the various steering committee meetings and leads the meetings to share information, discuss progress, and make decisions
- In collaboration with the Direction of Visibility and Partnerships (DARP), ensures the visibility and prominence of the project both internally and externally
ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL
- Ensures that all documentation related to the project is recorded, classified, and stored appropriately
- Ensures the smooth flow of information between all stakeholders: maintains open and effective communication channels to ensure that all stakeholders are informed in a timely manner
- Ensures that reporting is done regularly according to the matrix provided by the authorities: prepares and submits regular reports on the project's progress, in accordance with the requirements of the authorities
QUALITY AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Identifies risks, evaluates their probability and impact, and proposes/applies strategies
- Monitors and controls the project: implements quality control processes to ensure that deliverables meet the established standards
- Identifies project performance indicators and implements tracking methods. Proposes solutions if necessary
- Analyzes performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implements corrective actions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate university discipline such as administrative sciences (e.g., project management, management and development of organizations), human sciences, or social sciences
- PMP (Professional Project Management) certification, an asset
Experience
- A minimum of one to three years of relevant experience in project management
- Good knowledge of the health network
- Experience in research or program evaluation, an asset
