Tasks

• Perform analytical studies of drill cores, drill cuttings, and rock samples to identify their components
• Organize geological, geochemical, and geophysical studies on-site, as well as drilling and geological testing programs
• Organize programs for seismic, electromagnetic, magnetic, gravimetric, radiometric, radar, and other remote sensing surveys
• Develop models and software for data analysis and interpretation
• Plan, direct, and participate in the analysis of data collected during geological, geochemical, and geophysical surveys, as well as the results of diagraphies and other tests, maps, notes, and cross-sections
• Plan, direct, and participate in geological, geochemical, and geophysical campaigns and drilling and geological testing programs
• Use a global positioning system (GPS) and other navigation equipment
• Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps, and cross-sections
• Perform office tasks such as maintaining filing and recording systems
• Conduct or direct surveys or survey programs
• Assist in the preparation of rock, mineral, and metal sampling
• MS Office
• Supervise the preparation of rock, mineral, or metal samples
• Prepare rock, mineral, or metal samples
• Design measures to minimize the unwanted environmental effects of mining, oil, and gas activities
• Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic, or oceanographic studies, prospecting campaigns, exploratory drilling, diagraphies of boreholes, or underground mining study programs
