Laborer

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate on road network and water supply and sewer maintenance work
• Collaborate on snow removal, de-icing, abrasive spreading, and snow transport work
• Collaborate on general maintenance work of municipal buildings, parks, and green spaces
• Drive and operate various vehicles and machinery
• Collaborate on preventive maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs of equipment and machinery
• Immediately inform your supervisor of any defects
• Respect and apply safe work methods according to the current prevention program
• Provide week-long guard service on a rotating basis according to established procedures
• Foster and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders, including employees, management, elected officials, suppliers, citizens, etc.
• Perform any other tasks requested by your supervisor

REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED PROFILE

• High school diploma (DES) / an asset
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience / an asset
• Valid Class 3 driver's license
• Knowledge of water supply and sewer network operations or pumping station / an asset
• Construction site health and safety course certification / an asset
• Excellent manual skills and good physical condition
• Resourceful, versatile, and responsible
• Ability to work in a team and interact appropriately with the public
• Willingness to work outside regular hours
• Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: $25.51 to $30.48 per hour
